Our heritage

Woven in the valley, presented in Dubai

Every piece in our gallery begins in the workshops of Kashmir, where families have passed the loom from parent to child for more than a century. A single fine silk carpet can take two artisans over a year to complete, knot by knot, following a coded design chant known as the taleem.

We work directly with those weavers, then present their work in Jumeirah with the documentation, provenance, and care that a collector expects. Nothing is mass made, and nothing leaves without a certificate of authenticity.

Craftsmanship

From loom to gallery floor

Four stages separate raw silk from a finished heirloom. We follow every one of them.

01

Design and taleem

A master designer draws the naqsha, then translates it into the coded weaving script the loom family reads aloud.

02

Natural dyeing

Silk and wool are dyed in small batches with madder, indigo, walnut, and saffron for depth that ages gracefully.

03

Hand knotting

Two weavers work the loom for months, tying up to nine hundred knots per square inch by hand.

04

Washing and finishing

The carpet is clipped, washed in spring water, stretched, and inspected before it is certified and shipped.
